Got my AC and cruise control ordered and am taking full advantage of John's good nature and hospitality....what a guy. I will pick up my "frugally" shipped items from him when i pick up the car.....Man...free shipping....what the heck is this about???
Is that why it's the "land of the free"?

I have tons of good stuff to post but a neighbor really ruined my day. I better just wash up, put on some Trower and try to crash. Sorry. Got front pans pieced together on the 59 job. Took front pans /trans tunnel out, flipped it and got one side stitched.

Newer cars, I read something in the 4000.00 range.

I will have to pay 13% tax and a few hundred in other fees.

The price we pay for less rust...crazy, eh?

This mad won't fade quickly. Good advice though, I'll take it. Thanks. Maybe this single pic can help make sense of the differences between the 59 Pontiac job's old and new frames. The new rises forward of the x, old rises forward of the firewall. Floor slopes out from trans tunnel, new more than old. Nasty looking steps i cut at mounts may be eliminated by a cross brace-to-be with tapered ends. See the silver sharpie line I made along the new frame? It spreads out sooner for exhaust. Look at the bead next to the line as a comparison of the angles.

finished off the bed side, did a little body work, and prepped out all the parts for the rear end Accord hit as well as fix the quarter jambs. One side needed a little pull and the other needed to be pushed up and out. Kinked the quarter doing so but was suspected and had paint and repair time on it anyways. Lines up good to the new deck lid and lights. Now we need the glass guy to get down here to ensure R qtr jamb is in the right spot so we can lay down the quarter and mess with that jamb some more. Also waiting for the rail ends so we can weld this damn rail in and lock it into the rebar. Will go fast when the rest of the parts come.

No, no, drop the gate and let them have a seat. For wheelstands. Hey so are you excited? I know the answer to that. Any bites on the truck? Oh yeah... probably not yet. Man, a Pontiac engine would he sweet in that Camino.

Robin Trower? which one bridge of sighs? Man, if THAT dont get you in a good mood or in the zone theres probably not much that will. RT is an everyday play at the shop.

Catch-up pics. Thats how the 53 fender looked when I passed it back, how the 68 firewall turned out, and how the fender fit the door when I found out we are skinning the door and moved on.
