Yup, when I read 24 over, I thought same thing, in fact, Pugs, I'm surprised you didn't get the ride in a squad and a cell until you could post bail or see a judge. You, actually, got lucky by being let go on your way.
If there were other cars around you, going the same speed, maybe your attorney could mention you feel like you were "profiled" or discriminated against because you had Canadian plates.. that could backfire...
Every city I've been thru in the Pete has the same speed traps. Chicago is the biggest joke, 45 MPH on the Kennedy thru the downtown area....yeah right. If you try to drive that slow, you may as well put the trans in neutral, because you are going to get pushed at 70.

Working the exhaust on the impala this evening. I picked up a thrush glass pack and a section of straight pipe, but they only had one clamp. I had three at home... two 2" and one 2 1/2". No 2 1/4. Sent the daughter back to get another. It is her car, after all, lol. fired it up with open pipe, sounded pretty cool. Not cool enough to drive it that way, but cool enough to wing the throttle a time or two and shut it down before the pipes get hot. Noticed that the right front wheel bearing has play in it now, too. Probably from the swim it took a couple of weeks ago...

My daughter tried to make this one swim... She slid off the road into a ditch and set the pass side down in some water. Deep enough to submerge the wheel bearing, but not deep enough to do any other major damage.

I'm guessing they were trying to get speed traps included in the Olympics or something.

Ah, well if all it cost is a wheel bearing not too bad. My 08 HHR has 108k and I think I hear the left front wheel bearing growling. My 2000 Silverado Z71 had both front wheel bearings fail at 106 and 108k. Why is it GM can't find a bearing that lasts longer than 100k ??

Today I did first mow out front. Third pull, but I wasn't trying yet. When I got mower gas an automotive enthusiast with a jag at home followed and talked about my car the whole time. So I had the 455 out for a walk, am now burping supper, and laundry is in the dryer. Been a plenty long one today, but good and I hit all the bases. Heres what I worked on, and apologies for the 5 o'clock scramble lighting.

Bonus pic dump, including a bug and truck I am not involved with. Other stuff from previous mentions. Seems like its mostly Thursdays when I pass over the forum in a sputtering biplane throwing out car work pics like benign propaganda leaflets. Hope to see a weekend flurry of Chevelle goodness and what-not.

They did. Twice, you said.

I been having fine service out of the O'Reilly's yellow box blue writing "Precision" brand. Middle of the road price and no growly ones yet out of eight. FWIW, I used the OE ones from my wrecked 02 GP (135K) for another 40-50K. But those were made a long time ago.

Apparently, I didn't see the limit drop 10 MPH, maybe a lot of trucks, don't know. It drops, because, get this, the Interstate was going thru a city. I guess they have a lot of children playing out there in NC. The cop told me it was 55. I pointed at the 65 sign in front of the car where I stopped, 1/2 mile from where he was staked out....sheesh.
In 60-70 years of it, earth's gentlest driver, my Dad, got his only ticket in the same scenario. He was flabbergasted, devastated. Mom giggling did not help, I am sure. He was in western Kansas and all he had to say was don't hit resume until you pass walmart in whatever town it was. Wonder if big business is in cohoots, creating new legitimate speed trap zones by placing a new business in a certain location in order to gain favor with development comissions' desires or something. When it comes to moving violations in the southern United States I let sleeping dogs lie, grin, and bear it. Experience. But I limit myself to 10-15% over every time I think about it because I never pay close enough attention. Glad I just putt around the same 20 mile radius, in that respect. Pugs are you enjoying the event thing, hows that?

I got out to the garage and finished welding up the gutter, damn I need to get back with it. It took me about 2/3's of the welds before I tuned in the MIG and produced some nice flat welds, geeez.
