I discovered Aloe years ago and as a Red Headed light skinned lad all I needed was the sun to just touch my skin it was rash time. I think Aloe is a miracle plant. My wife always keeps a good supply and especially when I may be outside.

What did I work on....stupid late model junk at work, that's it. I am just "off" the last week, with the heat and my crazy allergies kicking my butt, I am off.

Thanks from Grape. There was no time to flinch. It was difficult to keep my mind in check but I dismissed it after posting. It flashed me back to the 75 GP which I only had five years in. Life would have been different had my landlady not reeled me in that day.

If I have learned one thing about wrecks, its that not making a scene at the scene helps you stay out of jail. But bottling the short term anger produces long term bitterness. I don't believe I can keep it together if something like that happens again. Its a no-win. Theres no collision coverage on it.

Hows the Chevy world treating you, anything to report? Its page 1966. Any news on the camper claim?

Camper...I'd gotten sidetracked with the cars. Storage person's agent came thru after I got to talk with him. An adjuster was out a week ago and came up with an initial payment of $3,800, without any knowledge of internal damage to the frame and associated costs. As long as the total cost doesn't exceed $7k, he won't total it. He said he had to get me a check to keep the claim alive, as ,at this point it was over 6 months old. I explained why that was and he said "I would have made him dig it back out, you were too nice." I will be checking with 2 RV repair shops that he said does aluminum welding for repair over the winter. I have 5 years, now that he has issued the check, to get the actual repair completed. Seems this is going to work out OK.

Chevelle, I would have testified, under oath, that I had new foam gaskets for the sides of the cowl grille, but after searching my chaos for 2 days, gave up and ordered new. They will be here today. Once I have the cowl installed, the painter will bring the hood here and we will install it.

Tuesday, I picked up all the Camaro sheetmetal from sand blasting, along with the trunk lid and small parts from the painters. All that is still in the back of the pickup. The Chevelle is still on the trailer and I had that parked in my quanset hut, but we were forecast for some nasty weather a few days ago and the end flaps would have been beating the new paint job, so that whole thing is sitting in the shop. I worked for Centerline the past 2 days, so NOTHING has gotten done on any of the cars. I pulled the trailer out of the shop for an hour Wednesday after work to, finally, sharpen the mower blades and level the deck. Yesterday, after work, I mowed the lawn and it looks much better not ripped apart at a slant...

We had gone to an open house last Saturday and my wife has been torn whether she wanted to drive 80 miles a day for work from the location and hadn't had time to ask about working from home 3 days a week yet. That got settled yesterday, as the house got sold. REALLY nice house and quiet location, but not feasible from a work distance or set up stand point. All my "stuff" would have needed to be in storage for up to a year, while a building was erected and set up. Gonna be hard to find something, even comparable to that house, closer to where we would like to be again...

I missed page 1954...best side pic I have. Front clip is scattered all over the shop at this point. Original paint on this car that came from Casper WY..

And page 1962..

1966 the day after I got it, 9 years ago...can't fathom having this car that long...

Last week, same basic place in the yard...

Ok, I got all the body and prep work done on my bed sides, the head board and the tailgate this morning, it's all ready for primer.

Not really, I bought all new parts from Mar-k, they are on their way!

I thought this is just how the world turns. You cannot find the re-threaded nut you dropped until you go buy some the right size then get one tight on the bolt and then presto, thar she blows! Can I say she blows again?

Try shoving a USB drive in your ear for more memory?
