I even made the top angle cut on the hand rail. tommorw I'll screw down all the stairs except the top and bottom just in case I need to remove them for any reason...and with any luck I'll get the newels (posts at the ends) in too. I'm thinking I should stain and clear the treads BEFORE final installation to make things easier...but now that things are moving along its hard to wait for paint and stain to dry and I need them down to set the newels. Hmmmm, I'll bet I have to stain and clear them after its all done since my step son is doing all that. hehehe one of my oldest sayings when teaching body and paint is :how can you appreciate the easy way until you've done it the hard way, that's why I show you the hard way first. that's the way I learned it...

Tonight I went out to see what my son was doing on the Falcon, he had bought a speaker box for a speaker that was given to him. Hope there is room in the trunk for the spare. LOL We discussed wire terminals and gauge wire and all that and it was fun. I am loving this!

Our cat wants to make a house out of the box.

Man! some people just don't change much over the years. Aside from the haircut you are so very close to your young self!

I'm both taller and far heftier than I was in high school. At 16 I was 5' 2" and weighed less than 100 pounds, I had to stand twice to make a shadow. Now I'm a shade under 6 foot and just a little under 300 pounds. In fact, at my ten year high school reunion I was sitting at a table with some of my classmates that I hadn't seen since graduation, they started talking about me, wondering if I had come to the reunion. They didn't even recognize me until I told them who I was but I'd grown a bunch after we got out of school.
