Thanks.

Pics are a must as I am approaching this project as though it is my hobby at this time, so hopefully I will enjoy the build just like working on the rod.

The 6" beam comes from a table directly from the building code.
It's possible because it's only the floor load and nothing else.

I was finally able to get a little done on my truck today. I cleaned and died the coverlay dash cover, and I got my block cleaned and ready to start assembly. Turkey frier burners work pretty well to heat the block to speed drying...

Wife and I just got back from a leisurely 150 mile Harley ride. Had a good lunch along the river midway.

Saturday afternoon I bought the wife a new 2015 Toyota Rav4
(I am a sucker for clearance prices and 0 % interest rates)
So today I made a rubber mat for the back, cut it out of an old p-up bed liner/mat.

Nope, I didn't hear that you sold yours.

Mine will never leave. It will just get passed on to our son.

My left hip is getting stiff enough, it was getting hard to handle on unlevel ground. It was time to move on.

I am 70 now. Ridden my whole life and never been hurt. I will count my blessing and cherish the good memories..and there are a bunch.

Got my first bike at 15 and only went without one 1 year since. 48 years so far. Can't say I've never been hurt. I was a little "wild" in my youth and had a few spills hill climbing and off road riding that removed some flesh. Had a car pull across in front of me in '75 and T-boned it at 30 mph. Walked away from that with a sprained wrist. Got to "experience" 2 roll-overs in cars along the way too, so yeah, I've been lucky. Never broke a bone yet...

I have only ridden a bit, just a few years but like you those memories are treasures and I am so glad I did. After all those years you rode, you have truck loads of memories, I think you made a good choice.

Smoked a small electric pressure washer. (yeah, I know - you can smoke a cigar, you can smoke a cigarette, you can smoke a pipe, but how do you smoke a pressure washer?)
Gotta go into it so see what happened.
Was using it to wash scunge off the fence around the pool and when I was done, I switched it off - and it kept going! Turned it back on - still going. Off - still going, but the Lucas magic smoke is getting out.
Unplugged it to stop it from working, now gotta tear into it to see where the magic smoke is escaping from.
If it isn't one thing.......
Can't use the BIG Landa - it'd just blow the fence apart, so gotta fix this li'l guy so I can finish the job (the other side of the fence)
