I friend that I have grown up with (as much as I have grown up) had a matching numbers '69 Z back right out of high school. He sold it about 10 years ago as a basket case for about $25K

Tonight I went out and dug out my window frames so I can modify the door frame to fit them properly. It sucks in that I can't remember where I put some of them, damn. But I will keep on plugging away and hopefully they will turn up.

today was our Christmas party and the boss got the crew these sick jackets. The detail on the embroidery is amazing. Each jacket has our name embroidered on the front with the tim's hot rods font on front. Such an awesome jacket. Has a nice liner in it and everything. We're going to Autorama in style.

My shop is a disaster and there are days when I spend more time looking for a part than installing it... On the bright side, I have purged a LOT of parts I no longer see a need to keep. Next summer, I am going to empty the shelves and get rid of everything that doesn't pertain to a vehicle I currently own. I still have a bunch of stuff left over from the Pete and a few previous cars.

When I chopped the Merc, I had a video by Tommy Steadman. In it he showed how to chop the garnish moldings around the window in such a way that the origional screw holes were still in the correct location. It was an excellent video and was priceless for I guy like me that was doing his first one.

I wonder if that can be done with the truck?

I am going to have to reshape them as I did the window frame bending them as I did the roof. We will see, I have a few inside ones to work with, it's the outer one that I can't find. I had stainless ones too, I hope I didn't sell them but I don't think I did.

Yes, Merry Christmas! Got off a little early today to come home and show Nick how to vacuum out his cooling system and pressure testing it. The Falcon is back on the road. Oh, and also mounted the battery properly (his Christmas present.)
