what now?? 49 Ford P.U. build

Ok i have a 1949 ford F-1 pick up and im about to finish putting in my motor and transmission. Just to inform everybody, Im keeping the stright axle but have upgraded to front discs. I have brake lines to run and some minnor work to do on the inner fender wells but, as everyone knows money can be tight and i really want to get my truck back on the road so would it be wrong to start installing my wiring kit before paint or should i wait and not jump ahead of my self. I dont want to take the front end off 60 times before i can say its done. Any help would be great full just dont want to have to re do all my hard work for no reason.

I am big on doing things in a logical sequence to prevent back tracking too many times. Wiring is just before upholstery in my simple mind and paint is way before that.
