Where to sell?

Aloha y'all! I'm new to the forum but a lifelong gearhead. I'm in the middle of a 1940 Ford build and have some good parts I won't be using so I'm trying to sell them. I've posted them in the classified here and in my local Craig's list with no luck. Are there any other forums that are available to spread the word of the Hot Rod specific items I have available?

Thanks!

I'm in Hickory North Carolina, I'd rather not pay the listing fees for E-bay and shipping a frame would be a pain. I've not heard of HAMB, but I will check it out. Thanks for the response!

Pictures are everything.

If they offer 24 then use 24.

Start at a corner and walk around the thing taking 12 pictures. Then move in on the problem areas where rust or cracks form. If this is a rolling chassis show the springs, bushings, and steering linkage in detail.

If you have other items for sale list them separately with there own set of pictures. Then in each ad make sure to say " I also have fenders, tail lights, and doors(etc) for this ... Please click on other items by user in the upper.... Corner to see them."

This not only gives you more exposure. But it sells things people would have otherwise overlooked.
Having more pictures eliminates most of the questions. If there are any numbers on anything make sure you get them in picture and text form in the ad itself.

Clean stuff up. You don't need to buff it out but hitting it with a hose and rag makes a difference in if someone will look at it or not. If someone has a rolling chassis covered by 2 feet of grass with the rims half burried I better be getting it for next to free. If the thing is in someone's driveway with the tires aired up then it's going to fetch more cash.

As said above; PICTURES, and a single item per listing! Also, in-depth descriptions of your items that you're selling. Listing by bullet-points helps the potential buyer find the important, to them, information that they need.

For large items, (like your frame), Craigslist works for me, following the above suggestions.
