will 4.00 350 pistons work in my 4.00 327

To start with i might have cracked a skirt on a piston in my 327 [felt good at 5000 so 6000 must be better] motor had a rattle like a wrist pin under a load about 3000, adjusted timing back to 12 initial, was at 14, 480 480 engle e-p22 cam, dont hear rattle anymore but have not turned it too much since, i wanted to know if the wrist pin height is the same on 350 pistons or is there some other problem, since 327 pistons are way higher priced for any good piston.

The 350 pistons have a different compression height than the ones from a 327. If you want to use 350 pistons get the ones for a 6" rod then use a 6-1/8" rod in your 327.

Sounds to me like you were getting detonation.........backing off the timing would nelp that. If the piston was broken, you would still be hearing it.

327 pistons cost more, because the 350 ones are so common.
