Got a 33 Willys sedan that I'd like to streamline some for drag racing. It doesn't have any windows except for the windshield and back widow and I'm thinking of lexan or plexiglass. Like to make all of them easily removable using something like a spring loaded holder or ?

Dragracers back in the sixties attached a seat belt strap to the bottom of the window. You would pull the window up by the strap and then fasten the seatbelt into a snap to hold it in place. Some google searching should find some examples.

I think Hemi Darts came with that strap as a regulator setup. Somewhere I have seen just a leather belt.

But if you are not wanting a regulator, just a fixed place, easily removable and non-watertight arrangement... A stationary channel with slots for tabs on the window at bottom and common plastic push rivets at the top going to some tabs added to the door shell's window frame. Be a good idea to consult the track's rules in case any requirements are in effect. Not a race car guy here but thats my thought. Bear in mind about the cabin pressure at speed and such, making sure the window is trapped well. The design I am picturing would drop tabs into slots, tilt into place and then clip.

Plexiglass cracks easy. Not good. Lexan is pliable. Good.

maybe plexiglass

if your car will flex enough of crack it then obviously no.. my only use for plexiglass was doing non moveable upper wall windows on my porch. i used optical plexiglass from home depot. 5 yrs latter and very clear...
