right, I took the engine and entire wiring harness out of a parts JD LX188 tractor. I adjusted the wiring to fit the 'new' lawn tractors switches except the key switch since the JD uses a switch with a circuit board on it..
The LX188 dash used 3 194 bulb sockets for the indicator lights on it, but the panel is part of the dash so I can't swap that over. hence the 3 Pilot lights, and there marked 12v.. so being A/C they could work either way? Just they were a little under $20 for the 3 so I don't want to burn them out. If my grandfather could see I would just install gauges ( oil press and coolant temp ) but he's pretty blind and bright lights would be better.
