At Home Depot (yech!) you can get a 200 to 260 watt gun which is good for just about any wiring that is not electronics related. They also sell the 100 to 140 watt gun which is fine for small and medium sized wires and terminals. If it will be used on electronic equipment you need a soldering pencil with less heat but for "normal" automotive work either of the above guns will work well for you.

This 2oo--260 two stage your speaking of ...is WHAT had for 24 kars.I built and wired.
l'll head over to sears- or home depot this weekend and pick one up. thanks all or sticking by me til the problems solved cheers bob s
