1930u Crankcase ventilation - Jul 5, 2013

Tonight I worked on my crankcase breathers. If you want to get sick to your stomach drill and saw holes in a set of chromed out 392 valve covers. OMG what’s wrong with me. Lol my intentions were to use finned aluminum covers but I have always loved the originals. I decided to use only two Moon Eyes breathers and stuck them on the end of the valve cover. For a street engine they should do just fine. I installed them upright so I can also use them as oil fillers. This will work much better than the oil inlet on the valley cover under the blower.

Sticking the breathers out on the end of the cover is something I picked up at the Don Garlits museum. Over the years he had set up a few like this and I loved the way they looked on the engines. If it’s good enough for Don it’s good enough for me.
