And before I can get to the Auburn, I have to get my wife's car running.
It uses a GM van column with a column shift that is worn out. I'm installing a Lokar floor-mounted shifter in preparation for replacing the steering column with something not worn out.
I also need to attend to the wires on the starter. The guy who built the car was a great body man (turned a 2-door sedan into a convertible using a '49 Chevy top), but he was NOT an electrician. He used the +12V bolt on the starter as a +12V distribution terminal and that has caused all kinds of electrical problems. At least it's one that is easy to solve.
The 454 BBC had a chronic overheating problem that caused the heads to warp. That's all fixed. And a working A/C was installed as well as a navigation unit for the bride.
Hopefully back on the road by the end of the month.
