1973 El Camino 454 Big Block Chevy PT.10 - Oct 26, 2007

Started to paint the TH400 transmission. Using a chassis coat magnetic paint. This stuff is weird. I was painting the trans using a foam brush (works well) and got some on my hands... I cleaned it off immediately, and there was nothing on my hands....later at night washed up, hands were still clean, no black paint on them. Went to bed, woke up the next morning...low and behold the paint was back on my hands....In the shower I was scrubbing like a madman, would not come off. Still have it on my hands till this day... but the finish on that stuff is great, it's hard as a rock and a high gloss finish. I am going to do the frame and the rest of the chassis components in that. I have attached some photos of the trans and the paint. The POR15 is the cast iron finish paint. I used that on the exhaust manifolds for the BBC. Looks great. Most likely I am going to do the waterpump in either the gloss black or the cast gray.
