just for those interested. for a short period i had a top loader mounted to the 69 460 that was gonna go into my coupe. The 460 didnt have a std tranny that year so I had to look around to see what fit. The bell is out of an 85 ford truck and was used because it had the hydraulic clutch system,(note: a 429 bell would work but a mechanical release would have to be used or a hydraulic one made from scratch) the flywheel was out of a 390 car,and the 11" clutch was from a pickup or bronco, its the other type that doesnt have the three fingers to push the throw out brg. the pilot bushing was from a 390. problem is with this bell only a small block tranny will fit...big block trannys have a thicker but shorter input shaft..i think it is 1/2 shorter..so to prevent blowing up a good tranny in a moment of weakness...i converted back to the c6..here are the pics
