Or, the reason my little red trailer sits outside...
Originally, I had plans to debut pictures of the real reason I joined this site, my 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, right here on the pages of my journal once I had finished a few other projects. Well, as I've posted before, things change. I can wait no longer. I had to post a couple of pics a couple weeks ago when I scored a matching parts car for $250. I just couldn't wait to share the good news, so I gave the lounge readers a sneak premier of the car I've affectionately nicknamed the "Major Pain".
Very early in my time here, I had posted about the crash in which I broke a tie rod well in excess of the posted speed limit. This is that car. I drove this car for another 11 months (and 35,000 miles nearly wide open) before the engine decided it needed a rest. My wife and I shared a ton of fond memories in this car. We fell in love in this car. We decided to marry in this car, and have decided that even if cars are just steel, plastic, and rubber, this one is NEVER FOR SALE! It is a member of our family.
It may look exceptionally rough, but as long as we (me, the Mrs., and most importantly, the Major Pain) are in the company of willing experts, we will once again ride in style. Enjoy the pics.
