I have a bad vibration starting around 45 - 50 mph and gets worse the faster I go....
So I had all 4 wheels balanced. Since I have only had the 47 year old car for 3 months now I thought I would start with the wheels. However, no joy the vibration is still present.
So bought some new U joints and a new center bearing for the drive shaft. Read a lot about drive shaft phase along with some other stuff and I am so confused. However in this picture the transmission yoke is facing away from the camera and is flat at 90 degrees in the workmate. I would have expected the U joint at the center bearing to be in line with the other end or at 90 degrees. However, it appears to be something very different.
Does that look correct? I don't think so.
