So after a year and a half of cruisin' the streets in my very first "hot rod", I decided to do a body off "semi" restoration (not a completely finished in-perfect-condition) involving some body patch panel repairs, cleaning up the chassis with new paint, brake lines, hoses, new front end, etc. Here I pulled the engine and transmission once I removed the fenders. At this point, I decided that a real hot rod is fenderless, so I needed to sell my fenders and splash aprons to purchase my Mickey Thompson/Radir 8.5" Drag Slicks and Astro Supreme chrome mags! Not a bad tradeoff! By the way, the first pic was featured in Rod & Custom's Readers Rides in Sept. '96!
