GM big car disc brakes were added to the straight axle back in the 70's. The home made brackets are 5/16" plate steel. They were very strong, so I decided to use them to mount the front fenders. You will see one bracket that's welded up and finish ground. The other picture is one in the rough when I was just mocking up the fender mounts. They will go to the chrome shop for plating.
