I spent the last week and weekend getting the Convertible road ready. Still a few more things to do but it's almost there.
New tires, brakes, hoses, and a thorough cleaning.
It was kind of nice to work on something, take it apart, get it back together and drive it. Working on the Coupe for weeks and months with no end in sight can burn you out. Now I can cruise but still keep my interest level up on the coupe with the goal in mind of taking it to the same cruises when it's done.
I also found out that they do in fact offer a short and long wheel well trim for my coupe. I got the short version when I was supposed to get the long one. I'm not to happy with my supplier right now. It's not the first time he's given me the wrong part and I find out after it's installed. But I think I finally learned if I have any doubt what so ever, do not mount anything until all questions are answered. I came close to not installing them and asking again, but I was told when I bought them they were shorter than OEM pieces, and OEM was not available. Turns out that's not exactly correct wording on his part.
So now I have to remove them and hope the new longer ones match up to the holes I drilled.
