The top above the doors is rough, warped, and split. It seems the previous driver of this vehicle may have been out playing "Dukes of Hazzard" or "Smoky and the Bandit." Because of the broken firewall mounts there was no support for the front of the cab ahead of the doors. Both sides were split open and the metal warped and stretched out of shape. I welded the cracks with the MIG and pushed the top back as close as possible then filled with Bondo. I used the air powered longboard with # 36 dry sandpaper to cut it down then finished with #80 grit the hand board to get it straight. For he first coat of primer I prime it with Nason 421-18 filler primer because it cuts fast and dry (with a lot of powder like doing sheet rock work).
