Stopped working on this in May ("stuck in Lodi again" for the whole month of May) came home, got a call to work on a cruise ship in Alaska during the summer (OF COURSE I TOOK IT). When I wasn't in Alaska I was moving the rest of my cars and trucks to my house from the storage yard, building stuff... lots of projects to finish up.
Got the truck running but had a flooding problem. Had just rebuilt the carb so I was looking for something else that could be causing the problem. When I finally pulled the carb apart looking for stuck floats I found the kit had the wrong needle and seat in it. The retainer clip, was not allowing the needle (which was too short), to bottom out in the seat. Got new needle and seats, set the floats and it works perfectly.
Back to body panel fittng. Put the hood on to check fit. Had a terrible wind storm today which ripped the plastic roof off my work area and scratched up my new paint on the top. I wasnt happy with the paint anyway so I will repaint the whole top and front again. I cut the cover up with the Sawzall and will have to work on the truck outside. Oh well, at least I'm working on the Divco again. Next goal is to finish it by Christmas.
