When I purchased the Special I knew that i didn't want to use the stock 300-2 for the build and after much consideration I decided not to go with the obvious choice of a 455 Buick. Instead I decided to go with a 430 Buick which was the largest engine available in 1967 (though not in this car). This engine will make excellent power and period correct for this car.
