Exhaust extentions and a tranny cooler - Oct 21, 2007

When I installed my headers a couple weeks ago, I wondered how cool the extentions would be without the turn out. As luck would have it a member of the National T Bucket Alliance, Blown T, lived near me and was kind enough to give me a set of 26" extentions that he had. They were in pretty good shape and cleaned up very well. They are too long for my setup, so I didn't feel too bad about hacking 6" off of them. I'll drill a hole and install a bolt to keep the slip-in mufflers from sliding out.

I found my transmission cooler at the local parts store. It fit perfectly in a spot between the tranny and the frame. About 2" hangs below the frame and is barely visable. For some reason it seems kinda cool that it is visable and kind of plays into the theme of my build. I cut and bent a couple straps from aluminum and inserted small pads in the straps to avoid damage to the fins.
