After all the work on the quarter panels and mini tubs, fitting the trunk and extensions, one would think I would stop doing mods.
Nope.
I was just eyeing the profile of the car, front, side, back and looking at the profile of the rear spoiler.
I got thinking... "I wonder what the spoiler would look like if it were taller?"
I taped some cardboard on the trunk, one inch and two inches higher.
I settled on one inch.
After getting the 'glass placed I sanded the raised spoiler down in a slight arc to each extension. So the spoiler is about 1/2" taller at each extension and one inch in the middle.
I really like the look of the back of the car now. It has taken on a whole new look almost. The extensions rise up from the quarter panels in a much nicer curve, and the back of the car looks just a little nastier.
Hopefully a mod that a lot of people will not be able to detect easily
I spent at least 2-3 days blocking the bac of the spoiler into the extensions so that I had a nice surface match and the spoiler was wave free.
