Photos #1 and #2 are couple more shots of the new rims, tires, headers, nerf board and rear fender mock up.
For the front fenders I intend to use small cycle type fenders. My friend Jerry (454 Rattler) dug through his collection of fine old hot rod parts and found a set of fenders he had picked up at a swap meet and never used. These fenders had the look I wanted but they were far too long. In fact, I was able to make both of my fenders out of just one original by cutting it in half and reshaping the bobbed end. Photo # 3 shows the one original fender still in tact (and still covered in rust) along with the two I made which have been dipped in muriatic acid and then lightly sand blasted to remove the final residue.
