I cannot even begin to tell you members how proud I was to see this hot rod finished, along with the support and friends that made this dream a reality! Remember, back in the mid nineties, primered hot rods and customs were rarely seen and unheard of at car shows and cruise nights! One of a handful of primered hot rods on Long Island, my car created quite a stir wherever I went! I could tell the "older guys" (I was only 31 or 32 at the time) were really stoked about my car. This was the type of rod that they built when they were kids! So my little 283 was filled with Marvel Mystery oil in the cylinders, oil pump was primed and after seeing really good oil pressure, she fired up without a hitch after being stored for almost 20 years!
