Just about everything on the floors is being replaced. The ONLY piece that isn't, is the rear full floor brace. For what ever reason, that piece is in good condition and I'm opting to use it as is, rather than buying new.
However, the front full floor brace needs the ends replaced. As usual, the fit of the repro parts to the original leaves much to be desired. The piece "appears" to have been designed to be lapped with the original. Course, all the bends don't line up nice. There were some pretty large gaps between the two pieces.
PIC 1: The new ends temporarily tacked into place.
PIC 2: I didn't like the way everything looked, and didn't think the finshed piece was going to be strong enough so I fabbed up a "bridge" to go between the two piece as an added structure.
PIC 3: Its hard to see, but the fabbed piece from PIC 2 is in place and ready to be plug welded. It might be overkill, but I don't feel like dropping through the floor at 65 MPH :-)
