Well call it good luck or bad ... but I finally got around to pulling my very new Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake off today with intentions of re-sealing it.
The first thing that struck me as being odd, very odd, was a WHOLE bunch of crud in the thermostat housing.
And on the thermostat
And inside the intake below the thermostat ... gelled antifreeze.
After cleaning up the thermo housing with the pressure washer, I discovered that it had corroded to the point there was a hole right through it!
Wait, it gets better ....
