There is only one thing left on my project that I cannot do in my own garage, and that is exhaust. Once the exhaust is complete, it is all up to me. Since the car is not running yet, I had to have it flat bedded to the exhaust shop.
I went back the high performance exhaust place that did the 0-2 sensor bung on the exhaust pipe. I was working and was not able to drop the car off in person. All communication with the shop was via the phone and notes. Does anybody see this coming?
I originally wanted to go with an x-pipe to balance both sides of the exhaust and still use the stock Jag mufflers and resonators. The exhaust shop did the work and told me that they did not have room for the x-pipe but installed an h-pipe instead. I had the car flat bedded home after they did their work. I crawled under the car when I got home from work and discovered that all I had was a dual exhaust system! What the ****!!
So to summarize - I asked for a x-pipe, told I got a h-pipe, received a dual exhaust. Anybody need a good exhaust shop? I've got one you can eliminate from your list.
The work they did is very good however. I still have the Jag mufflers and resonators. I still can take the system apart for maintenance. It is something I couldn’t have possibly done at home. What am I gonna do? Once I get the car running and sorted out, I’ll take it to a different exhaust place for a different exhaust system. Maybe a place that will actually give me what I asked for. At least now I can proceed ahead. Cross off another item on the list.
All that is left is electrical, cooling, and intake. It’s not too much. Is it?
