Well after an endless search to find the right hoses for the GM pump and Ford rack combo, I finally landed the right pair from Borgenson. This was not an easy find and I had to go through a few sets to find the right combo. The adapter on the back of the Saginaw pump is metric and jacks it all around. Then throw in some Ford and you gotta real scavenger hunt.
Anyhoo got things in order and got the hoses all up and running only to find that the top lead inlet on the rack was less good. The threads were worn and as a result there was a leak. I did not want to torque the AN fittings past 15 lbs as I know that the aluminum would only strip further. I would assume that was what happened originally as the rack is a reman. Can only buy manual racks new - go figure.
So I had to pull the rack and good thing the warranty covered the swap cause it had been a couple of years ago that I picked it up.
