OK, its been a hell of a long time since I updated this journal. Work has been on-going, slowly but surely. The front -end, of the body, is roughed out to where I want it. Squared off the lower body line, closed up the bumper bracket cut outs and you can see the template for the grill. I didn't like the way the original grill looked, I also didn't like the prices on new stainless grills (some are upwards of $500 to $600 unfinished) so I decided to customize a flattened grill to fit the grill shell. Its not finished yet so stay tuned.
The original headlights are gone, to be replaced with Mini Cooper headlights built into the front fenders.
The new front floor, toe boards and firewall are in place with the steering column placed and test fitted. Permanent install depnds on headers and drive train.
Under the new floor is the new chassis center section.
