The block is the much sought-after A-1 that was purchased at Daytona Auto Designing in Daytona, Florida. Only 3 hours away for the much needed comfort in knowing that I'm starting out with a perfect engine to rebuild. I originally started to look on Ebay, but how do you know what you're bidding on and more importantly, if the engine is an adequate engine to rebuild? These hemis are getting so scarce and will continue to be high dollar powerplants! The complete block and heads without the intake ran me $2,200 to start out... Those custom main caps are made of billet aluminum and splayed for 4 bolt mains for extra strength to which this bottom end is capable for up to 1,200 horsepower!!
