Many changes will occur as I do this project, I started looking for my scrap Delrin to make the shock eye Bushing. And I found I did not have any.So I scrounged some aluminium rod that was in the corner. A 6foot long X7/8 inch in diameter will be the bushing material. Delrin costs to much to buy just for these 2 bushings. I will use some never seize between the shock bolt and the aluminium bushing and we will be ready to go. I had to press fit the bushing after machining it to .002 oversize. It fit nice. Also the place I went to to get the bolts did not have the proper sizes I wanted. Tomorrow I will go to another favourite store and get them there. It's always something crops up to slow you down. A warming trend is coming so I hope to get this shock adventure out of the way. Then I can progress to fitting sheet metal on the quarter panels behind the wheel area. I am quite eager to see what my rear fender lines will look like. they will complete the rear as I see it except for the many hours to finish the metal and prep. I will also have to make openings behind our seating area so I can access the spring adjusters and shock mount bolts on top. No biggie worry later. I have some photos..
