My first big discovery of problems the welder had created was about to be discovered. No matter what I did I could not get the front fenders to sit properly. There was a massive gap at the bottom of the front doors.
I would soon discover that the inner fenders were welded in too high. In fact the whole front frame is tilted up very slightly. Nice <sarcastic> There were more nasty surprises to come!
