Once I was happy with the layout I had to drill holes in all of the aluminum tracks for the pop rivets. Also had to place the chrome ends in the proper place (front, rear) different hole spacing.
The tape is used to mark out where the running board supports are located so I could avoid them when drilling for the pop rivet locations.
Once the tracks were drilled I placed them on the running boards and drilled the holes in the running boards.
