I then check under the visor for wiper arm clearance as shown in Photo # 1. I had to extend and raise the front of the visor slightly in order to maintain about ½" of clearance.
Next I’ll make what I call the wing piece, the small but complicated piece of sheet metal which will transition from the end of the visor to the body of the car to fill the void indicated by the arrow in Photo # 2.
Photo # 3 shows the completed wing piece. While it looks rather simple, it was actually quite difficult to fabricate in that the flat visor front must lay against the curved edge of the wing...and there is no way I could come up with a way of marking for the cut. So the piece had to be first curved to shape and then shaved down bit by bit until the seam between the wing and the front panel was nearly perfect.
