So I have finished my to scale sketches (14.6363636 to 1) and everything looks in place so I have started adding the z's to the rear of the frames. I only had a few minutes before I had to start working on somebody else's vehicle, but I will load pictures up once one of the rails is complete to show what I started with and ended up with. After that I will load up both completed, then bent, etc. But for right now, just the sketches.
The rims are 15's and the tire O.D. is 26" on both. I was originally going to run 28" rears but the more I looked at the drawing the less I liked it. And I figured if I didn't like it on paper, I probably shouldn't do it in the real world either. And yes even the sketch of what I am trying to accomplish is drawn to scale also.
The frame sketch shows that it is 4" longer in front of the body and 2.75" longer in the rear. I am doing this because I am going to be running a small block Chevy and want a flat firewall with a comfortable distance between it and the distributor. And in the rear because I am making the body longer so a taller person would be comfortable. I am not tall but I have family that are over 6 ft and would like it to be easy for them to get in and out of as well. That is the same reason for stretching the doors out as well.
