Well here is it, Winter and my project list keeps growing.
I rebuilt my Engine in my 1980 RS Camaro a year and a half ago, but to my surprise the dam thing is burning oil and blowing blue smoke when you get in to the throttle. So I have replaced the heads last year and I do not think it is that, the only thing it could be is the rings or the block it's self.
So here it is, I need to pull the engine out again and go over it. This is a good thing since I rebuilt the original 305 that came with the car, I did put flat top pistons and a put performance heads on it, but it is still only a 305.
I moved here to NC in March on 05, and I drove my baby here from NJ, even with it burning oil, (this is where I really figured out what was going on), come to find out I life a 350 SBC block at my parents house. Well now my wheels start to turn again, I can just rebuild the short block, with some modifications that is. Since I do not have the guts to it any more, and I have purchase a new rotating assembly, I might as well bore it out.030 dip and blast the block clean and throw a 383cid stroker kit in it. That will make my mild street machine roar. Now that I have a garage to keep it in and work on it, now all I need is the cash.
