My car is now at the body shop. Actually I got it there on March 06, 2007. I have been to the shop a couple of times since it has arrived. My buddy has been busy doing his bread-and-butter collision work, so he hasn’t had a chance to get to my car. That is not all bad however.
The space in the garage has given me a chance to lay things out and take stock. I went ahead and made a few lists. One is of the parts that I do have or will need to get. Another is the tasks I will need to do to complete the project. And a third is of things I can complete while the car is away.
I am feeling a renewed energy with the car away. I look at it as another sign of measurable progress. The lists are also giving me a light-at-end-of-the-tunnel feeling. How quickly I complete them will be a different issue. Remember I am trying to be patient. The snow is almost gone so that makes it tough.
