This Autogear M-22 has a stout case, much larger in some areas than a stock one.
Tried to mock up the shifter and the tail mount won't fit. Did a bit of grinding on the mount but obviously not enough as the bottom mounting holes won't line up until I grind some more out.
Finally decided to redesign it and make some parts so I'll grind out the cup, probably have to cut out the U-bolt slots as well since the tail diameter is larger than the hole spread, then I'll weld in a couple peices of tubing on the mount and run bolts into a tapped cap I'm making instead of the U-bolt. Basically making it a clamp. The U bolt is way to small as well so it's time to modify and adapt, so to speak.
Once it's done it should be fine, just another little problem to tackle.
