We did take a little more time and finish the garage floors. Had both garage floors epoxy coated. Organized everything as well.
The floor makes for a much brighter work area, also just feels cleaner. And with these 100 degree days, I'm glad I installed AC in the garage.
I started checking out the coupe and right off saw what my years of neglect had done. I was embarrassed and apologized to my baby for neglecting her. Had her since 1976, so it's been a 30 year affair.
We got the rear portion exterior trim and interior apart, taking pictures and bagging and tagging all the parts along the way. Found some rust under the carpet, not bad but enough to create more work. Typical problem areas around the front and rear windshield and separation under the rear spoiler.
I knew my car had been hit before I bought it as evident by the right quarter repair, but I didn't realize the right door had been replaced until I got all the weather stripping off and found blue paint under it.
Also when the carpet was pulled there was a ton of glass under it.
But overall it seems to be in pretty good shape for a car pushing 40 years old.
