      I like HF hvlp guns. They work for me and I use them to spray engines and engine compartments. I'm always impressed with the results for the price. The HF guns are good for beginners because the controls are very fine in the sense that you have to adjust the controls many many turns to affect a spray pattern change. Also the most important thing for paint quality is practice and good clean, oil free and dry air.


      I also have a Iwata RP I use for heavy metallic bases and Iwata Super Nova I use for just premium clears. Those guns are in a totally different league.

      This kind of reminds me of when I was younger and played pool. I bought a very expensive premium pool stick. When I show it to the pool hall owner, he grabed a bent pool stick off the wall that was cracked too and ran the table. When it was my tune I sunk a few but still lost...bad.
