I am just wondering what all it takes to convert from a 2.8 v6 to a 350 v8. I have a 375 hp chevy 350 that is just sitting in my 4x4 and I want to put it in this 1986 Camaro, I just need to know how much work and money its going to take.

1896 camaro eh? Didnt know they've been around that long.

As for the swap, are they both carb or FI or one of each?

If they're the same, and you know what you're doing, shouldnt take you more than a weekend to swap em, if that. As for cost, gotta have more information, what do you have for the new motor, what dont you have? Carb or FI? exhaust? You should also change the motor mounts, although they're a pain in the as... butt.

Also do a search, you're bound to find tons of information about putting a 350 in a camaro.
