The 1939 Pontiac coupe sat in a shed for 50 years and was owned by a guy that I knew but I didn't know he owned it and he died a couple of years ago. I drove into town today and there it sat on the town square. I parked my pickup and was taking pictures of it when the owner came up to me. He was one of my upper classmen when I was in school and his brother was one of my classmates so I've known him just about my whole life. He is a fellow car guy and has made a good deal of money so he has acquired a pretty impressive collection of cars. He told me the story of how he got it and it only took him four hours to get it running after it sat for all those years! I'm extremely happy that he got it, it deserved a good home. I took a lot of pictures of it and I couldn't go to sleep until I created something, kind of my tribute to it and the men that have owned it.
