Does anyone have a pair of good front brake drums and the hubs with bearings for a 1946 dodge 1/2 ton they are 2in wide by 10in round. The interchange book say they will fit, 1939-56 dodge 1/2 ton and 1937-48 plymouth car will fit . I need some mine are really thin:(. ebay is asking almost 500.00 for one but I think they are asking to much. surely someone has some cheaper I sure hope so.Thanks:)

I would put a Scarebird disc kit on the front, and swap the rear axle to something else with a higher ratio and modern brakes. The brake technology that Dodge uses was outdated in the 40's but Dodge kept using those brakes until the early '50's. Properly adjusted they could stop better than Bendix brakes but they were hard to adjust correctly and those tools have been NLA for some time.

That guy only recently started making those drums. I used the Scarebird kit on a '50 Plymouth and it was a nice setup.
