I have a 1950 coronet with a standard three speed. Just got the car. It does not want to go into 1st. or reverse. I beleive this is not the origional trans. I tried doing it manually from underneith, but dont really know were the shifter arms should be. Any help would be appreciated.

You can fit just about any engine into any car with the right tools and equipment but to better answer your question, the Coronet has plenty of room under the hood for the teen and trans. Mounts will have to be fabbed up and the trans crossmember will also need attention then the associated parts like radiator, linkage, driveshaft etc will need to be addressed too. Depending on what the teen came out of, the oil pan might need to be swapped out too.
