I have a 1950 Hudson Pacemaker. The fuel door closing mechinisim is missing but the door is in great shape. I would like to either fab a new one or find an old one. Can any of you Hudson folks take a picture of the inside of your fuel door so that I know what I'm looking for?

Are you referring to the latching mechanism, the hinge on the door or a remote opening cable of some sort for the latch?
what kind of a latch does it have?

Attached is the picture of the door and hinge. There is no remote cable. There is just some middle piece missing that would keep the door open when opened and shut when closed.

From the looks of it, it would appear that it uses a cammed spring latch, similar to what you will find on a lot of kitchen cabinets, or similar to what your car door uses. .
