I have a 1951 F1 Ford . Steering linkage is binding any ideas how to fix my setup . I have a 3 double u joint at the steering rack , coming up to a mounted bearing , u joint and into steering column. I've fixed the flex in the bearing , with a different bracket ,helped alot but I still feel binding in hard turns.steering linkage problem

Are both of the u-joints doubles?
Post more pictures of the whole shaft setup.

At work now . Will do tomorrow. Double on steering rack , single turning onto steering column.

The double u joint is where the wobble comes from. But a single u joint will be more that 30 degrees and bind badly.

Move the saddle bearing to the other side of the single joint.

There are cars that have what is essentially the same as a vdog. I'll try to get the information from my 40 ford site.
